Kate Middleton Presents the Art Fund Museum of the Year Award

Hello, lovelies! Big Kate Middleton news today: she attended and presented at the National History Museum Awards this evening. The event was private, and seeing as the National History Museum is one of her patronages, it was practically a guarantee of her presence (but we all know how much she shows up to her patronages).

And show up she did, with a cream-white dress from Brazilian designer Barbara Cassola and new peach-pink heels from Shutz. The dress's price clocks in at $1,105 -- and it is reportedly already sold out!

My initial reaction to the dress: no. No, no, no. It looks like a stretched-out sweater, and white has made an appearance once again. But, the more I look at it, the more I like it. A nice and simple, clean outfit, and I believe simplicity is the best route for royals. So my final thought is yes, a nice dress, albeit forgettable. I really liked the heels, though, because of the color in itself, and a pop to an otherwise washed out outfit. She was reported having wobbled around in the heels; they are quite high!

The duchess presented the Art Fund Museum Award, which entails a $100,000 prize award to the winner.

See her presenting the speech:

In case you did not hear it, the winner is the Victoria and Albert Museum!

Afterwards, dinner followed. The menu was:

If you cannot see it:
Starters: Evesham asparagus and quail's eggs with shaved summer truffle, granola and lemon oil.
Main course: Roast sea bream with courgette flowers, crushed Ratte potatoes and a Negroni sauce.
Dessert: Brown sugar meringue with blood orange and almond sugared candy floss and a Negroni sauce.
Wine Selection: Casa Maria Verdejo, Agricola la Castellana (Spain), Le Chene Syrah/Grenache, IGP d'Oc

And that's it! What did you think of her outfit?
